NMW 2015 SET TO SHINE ON MAY 26-29

With less than a fortnight remaining until National Manufacturing Week 2015 opens at the Melbourne Convention centre, organisers Reed Exhibitions have confirmed the event's showcase layout, and an outstanding program of speakers for this year's event.

More than 200 brands will be represented in 11 industry-specific Product Zones, including - for the first time in Melbourne - a dedicated area for Advanced Materials with materials and technologies that help automotive, aerospace and defence, construction, civil engineering and other sectors develop uniquely high-performing products.

NMW will also showcase developments in Automation & Robotics - always a 'buzz' area - as well as in Digital Manufacturing, Intralogistics, Welding, Sustainable Manufacturing, R&D and more.

Alongside these, NMW will house a rolling program of live demonstrations, including for automated inspection, picking and packing solutions, of welding and riveting and - for those who need to move multiple and/or heavy items - of vacuum lifting systems.

Above all, NMW will be the forum that brings industry together to share new ideas. NMW's speaker program will include completely free sessions in two separate areas on the exhibition floor, with presentations cutting across the spectrum of industry concerns, such as:

  • Technology: including sessions on leveraging technology for regional development
  • Innovation: including the Innovation Imperative, Future-proofing Australia and Factories of the future
  • Boosting productivity: including Creating a High Performing Manufacturing Company, Getting an Idea from Development to a Fully Testable Realty, Optimising Product Performance through Proper Material Selection, and Increasing Productivity Through Energy Efficiency.

NMW 2015 is colocated with Austech, the SMART Logistics conference and Australia's first complete safety event, the Safety First Conference & Expo, to harness shared energies from the manufacturing, transport, building & construction, government and broader industry sectors.
