FOOD & PHARMA CONTROL SYSTEMS ON SHOW AT NMW
13 Mar 2013
One of the strong trends emerging for National Manufacturing Week (May 7 – 10, Melbourne) is a greater number of solutions – including process control, instrumentation and automation platforms and products – relevant to the food industry and pharmaceutical sector. Event organiser, Reed Exhibitions comments that this concentration reflects the enormous importance of these sectors to Australian industry.
Paul Baker, Exhibition Director for NMW said, “The food industry is Australia’s largest manufacturing sector, generating more than $108BN in revenue – while pharmaceutical manufacturing generates more than $9BN in revenue each year.”
“Both industries are also changing in response to new market conditions – creating a climate of opportunity for suppliers who can help food and pharmaceutical companies optimise their processes, adapt and grow,” Baker said.
Among exhibitors showing process control, instrumentation and automation platforms with food and pharmaceutical applications are:
- Bosch Rexroth Pty Ltd (Stand 3522) - Bosch Rexroth supports mechanical and plant engineering efforts around the world with its cutting-edge technology. Experts in factory automation for food & packaging – and the broader industry – Bosch Rexroth will be bringing a range of cutting edge controllers, PLCs and more to NMW
- Omron Electronics ( Stand 1711) – Omron offers one of industry’s most complete ranges of sensors and programmable controllers to advanced automation systems, with specialist solutions for food and medical applications
- Treotham Automation (Stand 3717) - provides complete solutions, superior service and technical support to its customers in a range of industries including food processing and packaging.
- UV Pacific (Stand 1325) – provides solutions that boost productivity in manufacturing and assembly. The company is introducing new solutions at NMW 2013 – including the Honle bluepoint LED UV Spot Lamps – for bonding, fixing or encapsulating in clean room, biological and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
“These companies are just some of the more than 300 suppliers who will be displaying new solutions and capabilities at NMW. It’s going to be a great exhibition for organisations – from all sectors – seeking new ideas and technologies,” Baker said.
Attendance at NMW 2013 is free to the trade – and registration is now open at nationalmanufacturingweek.com.au.
