Flexible automation and handling of large sheet metal at NMW 2008

14/04/2008
Finn-Power’s C6 LST for large sheet applications is a 20-station, 33-ton C6 servo hydraulic turret punch press which allows 1500 x 3000 mm sheet processing without repositioning.

It will be the subject of attention on the Maxitec Stand H30 during National Manufacturing Week at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre from May 27 to 30.

Available in Australia and New Zealand through Maxitec Pty Ltd and Maxitec NZ Ltd respectively, the modular LST construction comprises a loading device with integrated sheet separation and double sheet detection, a stacking device for component removal and stacking, and an unloading device for skeleton removal.

Multiple loading and unloading table configurations can be tailored to individual production needs.

Finn-Power LST is connectable to all Finn-Power storage and retrieval or material management systems.

The LST 6 is a compact automatic sheet loading and part sorting system. It loads sheets to the machine, pick up the parts from the machine and stacks them to the programmed co-ordinate on the stacking table. Loading capacity is 3000 kg.

Punched parts are picked up in front of the turret by using a programmable vacuum gripper. Parts are sorted and stacked on the moving table to the programmed position.

There is a choice of two models. The long model can be equipped with up to four moving tables. The short model can be equipped with two moving tables.
