AustralianSuper on site at NMW 2008

14/04/2008
One of Australia’s largest superannuation providers, AustralianSuper, will offer information about its products and services on Stand 2717 during National Manufacturing Week at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre from May 27 to 30.

AustralianSuper, which will share the stand with Members Equity Bank, was formed in July 2006 with the merger of Superannuation Trust of Australia and Australian Retirement Fund. Both funds had a long association with employers in the manufacturing sector.

The company’s focus at NMW 2008 will be to explain to employers how they can meet their superannuation obligations smoothly and efficiently with a superannuation plan that is attractive to employees.

AustralianSuper offers:

  • Accumulation-style superannuation accounts for those currently working
  • An account-based pension product for those at or nearing retirement
  • A wide range of investment options tailored to various objectives
  • Insurance (death, total permanent and disablement, and income protection)
  • Member education through a comprehensive website, workplace visits and retirement planning seminars at no cost
  • Access to low-cost financial planning

AustralianSuper has invested more than $28 billion in retirement savings for more than 1.3 million Australians.

"That's more than one in 10 members of the workforce drawn from over 110,000 workplaces," company relationship manager, Ian Masters, said.

"And as an industry super fund, we are run only to profit members. That means fees are set to only recover the costs of running the fund, not produce dividends for shareholders."
