TEA Transmissions adopts “back to basics”

10/03/2008
Supplier of components for the engineering trade TEA Transmissions will remind visitors
to Stand 5210 at National Manufacturing Week, at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition
Centre from May 27 to 30, that purchasing readily-available, basic components off-theshelf
has many benefits.

According to company spokeswoman Sally Corte, it makes environmental and economic
sense for businesses to get “back to basics” whether custom building using standard parts,
to repairing and upgrading existing machinery.

TEA Transmissions’ products include: spur gears and racks, bevel gear sets, universal
joints and protective bellows, spline shafts and bushings, round shaft and bearing blocks,
trapezoidal thread spindles and nuts, ball screws, worm gear components, rod ends,
bevel, worm and planetary gearboxes, speed-adjustable motors and gearboxes, lifting
mechanisms, screw jacks, linear actuators, telescopic slides, misalignment couplers,
machine feet, knobs, wheels and handles, timing belts and pulleys, linear slide systems,
cam followers, load runners and work lamps.

“Most of these products are not new on the market, but they can be hard to find – yet we
have many of these products ready to ship overnight,” Corte said.
“Having stated that, we also search the world for innovative products, such as our Ketterer
range of lifting mechanisms, and items produced with a tight budget in mind such as our
Chinese range of spur gears”.

The company’s 420-page product range catalogue/CD will be available at the show.
